  1. The different variety of printers
  2. Choosing the right printer
  3. Why I chose that printer.
  4. 1. I first started looking for a color inkjet printer on the web. I started off by going on the internet and at the first site I reached which was msn.com I typed color inkjet printer in the search box. Immediately the first thing to come up were the ten most popular sites for color inkjet printers. I clicked on that and obtained links entitled Save a bunch on inkjet color printers. The site where I found the best Inkjet printers were Macworld-Color Inkjet Printers and Color Inkjet Printer-Office Depot.com . Under Office Depot.com they had links to printer companies and some of their best buys on inkjet color printers. Some of these links were for Canon inkjet printers, Epson inkjet printers, Hewlett Packard, and Lexmark inkjet printers. I checked out each of these links and found that there was a variety of printers to choose from. There were different price ranges different models and companies. I first observed the Hewlett Packard deskset 2200. It had a color print resolution of 1200x 600dpi, a black and white resolution of 1200x600dpi and a print speed of 15ppm it had a one year warranty and cost $499.99. I then observed another printer a Canon inkjet printer a C80 that had low resolution power of 720x720dpi but this printer was significantly cheaper at a price of $79.99. I noticed that the expensive printers obviously had higher speeds and higher resolutions but by looking at about fifteen printer types I could tell that some were at better prices than others and some were of better quality.

    2. At the end I ended up choosing the Epson stylus C80 color inkjet printer. It had a black and white resolution of 720x720dpi a color print resolution of 2880x720 dpi. The print speed was 20ppm and its cost was $179.99. I chose this printer over others due to what it offers at the reasonable price of a $179.99. It is affordable by many and compared to other observations that I made with other printers it has a decent resolution and a good .

  5. It has a 1year warranty where as many of the other ones although cheaper had ninety day warranties. At first I was looking at a few characteristics of the printer such as the price and print speed. By the end of this search I was looking at resolution, black and white resolution, color resolution, warranties that the printer had the company that the printer was coming from and many of the other characteristics listed within these sites. Characteristics of the printer such as weight of the printer was also listed but I did not observe that as much. I found that the type of printer one will end up buying will be the one that they will find fit for their own uses. If someone needs a printer specifically with high resolution then they might pick another printer but if someone is looking for just a printer to use at home they may observe different printers. I liked the Epson stylus C80 because it seemed to be the type of color printer average day people would use. The price range seemed to be decent the resolution was better than some of the other printers I observed and many color inkjet printers such as the Hewlett Packard 2200D had a printing speed of 15ppm and was more expensive then the Epson stylus printer. Many printers just had slightly higher resolution power but cost hundreds of dollars extra. Some of the sites that I went to and some of the color printers did not specify all their characteristics. I went to sites such as Inkjet printer sears.com and Inkjet printers tech store.com and I went under the Hewlett Packard link under these sites and some of the models just had a box saying that there was an average resolution of 720x720 but it did not list the black and white and color resolutions separately. There were also just some areas where there were characteristics such as high resolution and it just said yes next to it meaning that it was there but the exact numbers were not mentioned. This really does not help the buyer as much as exact descriptions do. There were also portable color inkjet printers but I figured this came into a different category and it was quite expensive. So overall I found the Epson stylus C80 to be the most reasonable. I also observed laser printers and I started off the same way in the search for these printers also. Under msn.com I saw that there were the top ten sites for laser printers. I went under this link but I did not find it as helpful as some other sites.
