ANNLYN BRISTOL

   Welcome Back Stony Brook University Class of 2006!  Congratulations on making it this far.  My name is Annlyn Bristol your recently elected 2005-2006 Senior Class Representative.  This is our last year, and I’m sure like myself many of you are thinking, “We have so much to do, but so little time!”  In addition to USG I am also involved in Gospel choir and the U.N.I.T.I Cultural Center. I am an active member of the Haitian Students Organization, a S.A.F.E. intern, and I am an RA at Cardozo College.

   As Senior Class Representative it is my duty to, “Represent the [Class of 2006] to the Undergraduate Student Government, and to plan appropriate programs to meet the needs of their constituents (The Constitution of USG).”  This includes keeping the Class of 2006 informed on important dates and times and planning senior week, the class trip, and the ring ceremony.  I would also like to continue the Student Giving Campaign this year.  The benefits of the Student Giving Campaign are enormous and I hope to be giving you a lot more information on that in the near future.

   I am working hard on making the Senior trip and Senior week memorable and worthwhile and, I am inviting you as a member of the Class of 2006 to participate in planning these events by either joining the Senior Class Committee or just by stopping by during my office hours and giving me your input.  I am also extending an invitation for you to carry on the tradition of the Specula Yearbook.    In addition to being the Senior Class Representative I am the advocate for Cultural Clubs and Organizations.  I am here to make sure that the needs of these clubs are being met.  Unfortunately I cannot monitor every single Cultural Club on a regular basis.  I need you all to let me know what I can do to help.  Please feel free to contact me at anytime, I am here for you!
